Call (970) 569-7525 to speak with an Oncology Financial Navigator

It is our goal to work with patients and their families to help them reduce stress or hardship related to the cost of treatment for cancer. Our Oncology Financial Navigator can help patients understand the financial aspects of cancer care and provide assistance in obtaining applicable financial resources. Uninsured patients may be eligible for assistance.

Shaw Patient Assistance Fund

When a cancer diagnosis strikes, it impacts and infiltrates nearly every aspect of one’s life – physical, emotional, practical, and unfortunately, financial. The Shaw Patient Assistance Fund was created in 2016 to help support patients treated at Shaw who are experiencing financial distress as a result of their diagnosis. The Shaw Patient Assistance Fund is available to any patient being treated at the Shaw Cancer Center to offer financial relief for basic living needs such as mortgage/rent, utilities, food, gas, etc.

To learn more about the Shaw Patient Assistance Fund contact: Erin Perejda, LCSW at 970-569-7606, erin.perejda@vailhealth.org or Kristi Grems, LPC at 970-569-7612, kristi.grems@vailhealth.org.
