Biography

Susan grew up in New York City and has had a long and varied career in health care. Her early interests were in acute care, leading her from first responder work as an emergency medical technician to high acuity ICU nursing in underserved communities. As an adult health nurse practitioner, she continued to work in ambulatory settings while pursuing work experiences and board certification in behavioral health and palliative care in order to provide the most holistic care to patients, which she brings to the radiation oncology department at the Shaw.
