Colon, or colorectal, cancer starts in the large intestine or the rectum. The American Cancer Society recommends that both men and women receive screenings for colon polyps and cancer beginning at the age of 45.
Looking to schedule a screening colonoscopy?
Routine colonoscopies and colorectal cancer screenings are typically scheduled through a primary care provider or gastroenterology provider and are not scheduled through Shaw Cancer Center. Please contact your primary care provider or gastroenterology clinic to schedule a screening.
